Cardiff, Wales Spring Foraging Course

COURSE LOCATION

This course is a simple foraging walk where we hope to be able to identify a selection of edible and poisonous Spring shoots, plants, flowers and hopefully some wild mushrooms :).
We will meet at the Castle Street entrance to the park beside the Pettigrew Tea Rooms at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers. Tea or coffee is available from the cafe.
After a 2 to 3 hour walk around the Park we will discuss and taste our finds over a tasty wild food lunch.
We will email all of you details of all the plants we find to help you remember what you have learnt a couple of days after the event.
We recommend you bring
- Warm protective clothing and footwear
- Camera
- Note pad/pen
Under 12 year olds can come for free, within reason; but please let us know how many will be coming in advance.
Drinks at the cafe are not included.
