Our Spring foraging course in Birmingham will be approximately a three hour walk taking in the Kings Heath and Highbury Park.

This course is a simple foraging walk where we hope to be able to identify a selection of Spring shoots and edible plants and flowers, plus hopefully some lovely St Georges mushrooms.

We will meet in the
Red Lion Pub
Vicarage Rd,
Birmingham,
West Midlands
B14 7LY
at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.

After a 2 to 3 hour walk around the woods we will go back to the Red Lion to discuss and taste our finds.

We will email all of you details of all the plants we find to help you remember what you have learnt.

We recommend you bring

  • Warm protective clothing and footwear
  • Camera
  • Note pad/pen

Under 12 year olds can come for free, within reason; but please let us know how many will be coming in advance.
Drinks at the pub are not included.
