This course is a simple foraging walk where we will identify a selection of edible and poisonous Spring shoots, plants, flowers and hopefully some wild mushrooms.

If you head towards the toilets you will come across some picnic benches, we will meet there at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.

After a 2 to 3 hour walk around the Park we will discuss and taste our finds over a tasty wild food lunch.

We will email all of you details of all the plants we find to help you remember what you have learnt a couple of days after the event.

We recommend you bring

  • Warm protective clothing and footwear
  • Camera
  • Note pad/pen

Under 12 year olds can come for free, within reason; but please let us know how many will be coming in advance.

Please Note: The Marbury Country Park car park is a pay and display costing £2.50.
