Hampshire, New Forest Summer Foraging Course

In late summer and early autumn the New Forest comes alive with fungi of all descriptions. There are always too many to talk about, so we focus on the really good edibles such as the Chanterelle and Penny Bun. The diversity here always makes for a good walk because along with the edible mushrooms, there is also plenty of other interesting fungi and plants to talk about. In October we get a slightly different selection of mushrooms with Winter Chanterelles coming to the fore.

We will be meeting outside the Red Shoot at 12pm.

We recommend you bring

• Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and footwear
• Camera
• Note pad/pen
• A drink

Drinks at the pub are not included.

Under 12 year olds can come for free, within reason; but please let us know how many will be coming in advance.

3:30pm is only an approximate finish time and depending on certain factors, the course could run until 4pm.
